Purpose of Immanuel Lutheran School

Immanuel Lutheran Church provides a Christian day school as part of its ministry to carry out the Lord's command:  "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you."  (Matthew 28:19-20a)

It is in the light of this purpose that the school was established; first to serve the families of the congregation, and as space allows, to those outside the congregation who wish a Christian education for their children.

A Unique Classroom Environment

Immanuel Lutheran School is divided into two classrooms.  Mrs. Emily Stoering teaches grades kindergarten, first and second while Mr. Josiah Stoering teaches grades three throught eight.  In such a multiage, miltileveled environment, students learn to become independent learners, thus preparing them for an easy transition into high school.  This multi-grade environment also allows for stress free, discreet alterations for special needs of students, whether they are blessed with excellent academic gifts or need a little extra attention in certain subjects.  God has certainly blessed this school with the ability to focus on the needs of each student.
